About our Andora...

Andora is our darkest alpaca but she is a sweetheart.  She is our alarm system and is the first to alert with the sign of "danger".  She's got a little bit of a diva personality but we love her anyway.

History: 

Andora, the black daughter of grey Silver Legend, was added to our herd for her fine fiber (18 microns at two years). This outstanding fiber, the trademark of her sire, has a very soft hand. Her 2009 dark silver grey male, Doran, born 6/17/09 is the son of our multi-champion grey herdsire, Splendour in Gray. This youngster exhibits extremely fine, crimpy fleece even at this young age. His color championship over 25 grey males as a juvenile at the GMAF in Madison in April, '10 tells of his quality. Doran has been sold and is headed to stand stud on a Wisconsin alpaca farm.

Andora and Splendor in Gray have done it again. It is a beautiful true black female, Luella, that shows great promise. Luella has just had a beautiful black male that the new owners say is definitely stud potential.
